The Koenig SKC 550 Series is a high-performance pull-style expander designed for efficient, high-pressure sealing in hydraulic bores. Engineered for fast cycle times—as low as 3 seconds per installation—the SKC 550 is ideal for high-throughput production environments.
Utilising a 100% mechanical anchorage system, the SKC 550 ensures secure, permanent sealing at operating pressures up to 500 bar (7,200 psi). The plug features a one-piece design with a case-hardened steel sleeve for enhanced wear resistance and a heat-treatable mandrel coated in a special oil-film lubricant to facilitate smooth, consistent installation.
Available in diameters from Ø4 mm to 12 mm, the SKC 550 is suitable for direct installation into drilled bores and is fully compatible with hydraulic or pneumatic hand tools equipped with mandrel collection systems.
