Position: Micro-precision Waterjet Setter & Operator

The Role
As a Micro-precision Waterjet Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for setting, programming, operating and optimising our stae-of-the-art machine to produce hhigh-precision components to exceptionally tight tolerances.
You will work with a variety of materials including:

  • Titanium
  • Aluminium
  • Stainless Steel
  • Tool steels
  • Carbon fibre composites
  • Plastics
Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you will ensure quality, efficiency and precision remain at the highest level
.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Setting and operating Micro Abrasive Waterjet systems
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and CAD data
  • Producing components to extremely tight tolerances and high-quality standards
  • Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Selecting suitable cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses
  • Troubleshooting machining and process issues
  • Maintaining machine performance and supporting preventative maintenance activities
  • Working to Aerospace, Defence and Motorsport quality requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes, productivity and quality
What we're looking for:

Essential
  • Previous experience operating precision CNC or waterjet cutting machinery
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
  • Experiance working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Quality focused approach with a commitment to delivering right-first time results
  • Abiity to work independently and as part of a highly skilled engineering team
Desirable
  • Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport or Formula One manufacturing experience
  • CAD/CAM programming knowledge
  • Inspection experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience

Working hours are:

Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm
Friday 8am - 1pm

Position: Customer Service Administrator - Apprentice

Job Overview
Reports to: Sales Desk Team Leader
To provide excellent customer service to internal and external Customers alike, handling all queries efficiently and to the satisfied conclusion of our Customers..

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to):
  • Handling Customer Returns in a timely manner
  • Customer facing order processing with the Operations team
  • Support in the proactive order book management
  • Aftersales queries, such as POD's, pricing, copies of documents
  • Obtaining Customer feedback and sharing it with Management
  • Assisting with greeting visitors and answering telephones
  • producing daily reports such as Delivery Performance and Arrears reports
  • Issuing Customer feedback forms and collating the data for presentation
  • Assist with digitally filing documentation such as sales orders and production orders
The Person:
  • Desire to learn within a varied and busy customer service position
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Great eye for detail
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Determined to be Customer focused in every aspect of the role
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook

Position:
 Warehouse Operative

Job Overview
Reports to: The Group General Manager
Ensuring the correct picking and packing of items to satisfy customer needs. Despatching items, using the correct carrier methods and supporting the various internal departments in delivering exceptional service to customers.
Good knowledge of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Correctly pick times as highlighted by the MRP system
  • Pack items in a safe, transportable way - ensuring parts arrive at our customers securely and well presented
  • Locate items within the warehouse correctly to avoid any stock discrepancies
  • Highlight any stock issues identified, be it unsafe storage, mixed parts, incorrect locations or anything else that could cause disruption to customer service
  • Building strong relationships with other departments to ensure excellent customer service is provided
  • Be part of cross functional Improvement Teams, as required by the Business
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own safety of others
  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
  • Other duties assigned
The Person:
  • Ability to offer excellent Customer Service
  • Must have a strong eye for detail and working with many part numbers
  • Conscientious worker, who enjoys being part of a team
  • Experience with MRP Systems
  • Knowledge of SAP is beneficial, but not essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to accurately and methodically
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines

Position: Cylindrical Grinder

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Boneham team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 5 years' experience in setting operating grinding machines
  • Support the training of our Apprentices, to achieve a high level of skill
  • Have a good understanding of grinding wheels, fluids and processes
  • Be familiar with working with hardened steel and stainless steel
  • Be able to work repeatedly to .0001" (2.5 μm)
  • Manufacture to engineering drawings, with an ability to work to imperial and metric dimensions
  • Work to ISO and AS9100 processes and procedures
  • Be experienced in using verniers, micrometers
  • Support the training of our Apprentices, to achieve a high level of skill
  • Work to a production plan, whilst considering setting and planning efficiencies
  • Have a keen eye for detail and take great pride in their work
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Be open to adopting lean methods
  • Always consider health and safety risks

Working hours are:
