Threaded Engineers Studs DIN 6379
Engineers Studs are forged steel with a rolled thread. Also known as double ended studs, engineers studs feature a long thread and a short thread either end of a plain section. Studs are measured as overall length, with each diameter having a fixed thread length on the short end. These studs are suitable for many applications due to their tough nature and wide range of sizes. In engineering studs are mostly used in assembly with T-nuts, fixture nuts, clamps or screwed directly into the fixture.
What strength class are studs?
M6 to M12 are heat treated to strength class 10.9 M14 to M30 class 8.8
