Description

Boneham Black Plastic Dowels

Boneham Black are plastic dowels offering superior integrity and performance to standard nylon dowels. Manufactured from engineered co-polymer black plastic. Strong, rigid and tough with good impact strength. These performance plastic dowels have outstanding wear resistance and sliding properties, for reusability, resin removal and workability. Boneham Black dowels are precisely machined to accurately locate and align composite moulds. Featuring chamfers on both ends of the pin to easily insert into the location point, usually a bush, saving time and reducing binding. The properties of the co-polymer material ensure performance in normal autoclave conditions during curing. Machined to suit Boneham Polygrip GS bushes, if the dowels become locked by resin run, they can easily be drilled out without damage to the mould or location bush.

Why are Boneham Black Dowels considered Performance?

  • -40°C to 140°C temperature range (140°C being the maximum short term service temperature).
  • Low moisture absorption rates
  • Improved Dimensional stability
  • Black finish has increased UV resistance
  • Greater tensile strength than nylon
  • Increased surface hardness
