What is an Egg Cup Bush fixture?
Egg cup drill bush holders are a small hand held drilling fixture for repeat right angle drilling applications for both vertical and horizontal drilling. The fixture allows for accurate and straight drilling at a 90 degree angle when using a pistol drill for applications such as rivet hole drilling or removal in aerospace applications. Boneham egg cup drill fixtures are manufactured from lightweight red anodised aluminium.
What else do I need to consider with an egg cup fixture?
Egg cup bushes are for use with standard RD type renewable bushes and can be used for three stage operations such as pilot drill and ream by quickly switching the bush. By designing handles and egg cup fixtures to use with our standard or special renewable bushes, there is no need for special types of tooling like threaded or template versions. The Egg cup comes with an incorporated locking feature, to eliminate risk of FOD (Foreign Object Debris), and radiused feet to prevent skin and panel damage.
Each egg cup can be equipped with a pilot and multiple sizes of RD, RPS, SF and SFM bushes.
