The LK600 Series Sealing Plug operates on a pull-to-expand principle: a serrated stainless steel sleeve surrounds a mandrel. During installation, axial force is applied to the mandrel while the sleeve is held in place using dedicated tooling. This causes the sleeve to radially expand, anchoring firmly into the bore through mechanical interference. Once the defined expansion force is reached, the mandrel automatically breaks off, completing the installation and creating a permanent, pressure-tight seal.
