Metric BS 8734 / ISO 8734 Type 'B' Case Hardened Steel.
ISO 8734 Metric Dowel Pins are engineers steel dowel pins. These dowels are precision, case hardened and ground parallel dowel pins. Manufactured to accurate m6 tolerance limits. For exact locating and alignment in drilled and reamed location holes. The ISO 8734 standard feature a dome end and chamfer end. 1mm to 3mm are unhardened but can be supplied hardened as a special item.
Why choose ISO 8732 dowels?
Boneham's Type B dowel pins are case hardened, meaning they are less prone to fracturing when compared to through hardened dowels, like DIN 6325. The hardened surface, coupled with a soft core, allows for increased wear resistance with a ductile core reducing likelihood of fracturing. Dowel pins are supplied from 1mm diameter to 25mm as standard. Other sizes can be manufactured upon request. Lengths are available from 3mm to 120mm.
