Description

Shoulder Bolts | Stripper Bolt.

Shoulder bolts or in the press tool industry, stripper bolts, are primarily used to retain two stripper plates in place. The precision tolerance shoulder of a shoulder screw, or bolt shaft, maintains a parallel guide for punches in stripper applications. Shoulder Bolts are frequently used in engineering applications where accurate rotation is required around the parallel ground shoulder, or an element of alignment is required. They can be used with a Boneham Bush and Knurled Mould Nut to accurately locate and tighten a composite mould. The ground shoulder can also act as a pivot point if required.

Boneham shoulder bolts are manufactured to ISO 7379 with part knurling for hand tightening. Hardness increases wear resistance and the socket head allows for the bolt to be removed easily using a Hex Key.

Why use a Shoulder Bolt for my application?

Shoulder bolts provide an accurate alignment solution when a fastener is required and not an alignment or location pin. The shoulder provides an accurate and robustly hard linear contact surface for holes to follow and align.
